Internship Programs

As your first formal introduction to post graduate education, our goal is to develop professional skills that sharpen your medical knowledge, refine your patient communication skills and, continually strengthen your rapport with your peers. Your first year of training will follow required curriculums yet allow flexibility for individuals to pursue areas of special interest.

For the first time in your medical career you will be playing the dual role of physician and teacher. Under the direction of an Attending, you assume the daily care of patients. Decisions on medical care, and the administrative duties associated with patient care are now your responsibility. With medical students under your tutelage you have direct impact on the skills they develop.

Residency goals are realized by utilizing a variety of teaching methods and settings to maximize your education in each rotation area while enabling individuals to set their own pace for learning.
